Rebecca AtkinsonRebecca is excited to move into the Assistant Manager position in the fitness facility at NYA. She has received her B.S. in Exercise Science and Nutrition at Southern Connecticut State University. She performed her practicum at Ahlbin Centers for Rehabilitation as an Assistant Exercise Therapist. Rebecca received her coaching certification through the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC). She has since worked with children and young women coaching gymnastics and cheerleading, a sport in which she competed at the college nationals while attending SCSU. Over the past five years she has worked in different venues within Connecticut in Fitness Management, Personal Training and performing biometric health screenings. Rebecca enjoyed her experiences working with seniors leading strengthening chair classes and walking groups. She has a strong focus on women’s health & fitness. She enjoys seeing the success of her clients lose weight, become more active and increase strength and confidence for long term results. “Don’t just look better…. LIVE better” |

Jill C. DeireleinJill has been working in the Fitness Industry for over 15 years. Jill is certified by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), as a personal trainer, Group Exercise Instructor and Step Reebok Instructor. Additional Certifications include Bosu, Cardio/Core/Strength/Stretch and Cycle. Jill started her career in Manhattan and moved to the Westchester area in 2003. There she shared her time with Armonk Physical therapy, an upscale Health Club in Northern Westchester. Her positions have included: Sales Associate, Fitness Director, Group Exercise coordinator/ Instructor and Personal Trainer. Other interests include Dance. She has studied (Martha Graham) modern dance, jazz, tap and ballet. She also has a love for Cycling. She participated in the Boston to New York Aids ride (a 275 mil fundraising bike ride). She has served on the City of Hope Aerobics Team and has conducted a master Class for the editors and writers of Fitness magazine. She has participated in many fundraising events throughout the Northeast. She has led the warm-up for two fundraising events, sponsored by t he American Heart Association of America as well as the MS Society. Jill graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She now resides in Newtown with her husband Steve and their daughter Brianna. With her strong passion for fitness, Jill continues to be a leader in the field. |

Missy Gregson, RYTA graduate of Lotus Gardens, LLC, Missy shares her passion and enthusiasm of yoga by inspiring both students new to yoga as well as those with established practices. Missy’s styles of Hatha Yoga include Kundalini, Sivananda, Astanga and Vinyassa Flow. An avid runner, Missy explores the balance between effort and relaxation and finds yoga to be both restorative and rejuvenation to mind and body. Missy enjoys free time spent with her family, horseback riding, and walking her Great Dane, Wonka. |

Donna MoxhamDonna is a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer. She has been teaching a wide variety of classes ranging from step, spin, hi-lo cardio, muscle strength and conditioning, and fusion classes for 15 years. Donna believes in making exercise fun and a part of her daily routine. She loves motivation people and having them fell good about themselves. |

Karen PierceKaren has been teaching in the fitness industry since 1990 and holds many certifications. She is a registered Yoga instructor (RYT) through Yoga Alliance and is a certified Yoga Edinstructor. Karen was introduced to meditation & yoga as a teen and since has been sharing her love of yoga with adults as well as children and teens through the school system and private classes. She is dedicated to brining the authentic practice of yoga to all populations.A student of yoga over 25 years, she has been blessed to have learned from many world renowned yogi masters in Ashtanga, Iyengar, Anusara, Power Yoga, Jivamukti, Kundalini, Bikram and Viniyoga…but her heart belongs to the teachings of Krishnamacharya and her dedication to her mentor Mark Whitwell. Mark is a gifted teacher and she is fortunate to have the experience of learning the true spirit of yoga and the authentic essence of how it was taught over 100 years ago. Karen is also the author of Yoga Bear: Yoga for Youngsters- a children’s book published by Northword Press (2004). She is currently working on producing her own relaxation CD. |

Angie Taylor, WITS, AAAI/ISMA, APEX NutritionA resident of Newtown for eighteen years, Angie has been involved with the fitness industry since 1996. She has five years experience as a personal trainer and stays active as a professional ski instructor. She believes that physical activity is an important ingredient to the quality of life. Her inspiration and motivation comes from the rewards and benefits of clients meeting their goals through personal training.

Cody Foss, MS, LATC, CSCS, PESMy foundation is an academic background in Health Sciences and Sports Medicine. My personal philosophy is to have my clients improve their physical health - not just their appearance. I'm deeply committed to the success of my clients and athletes.
